Redesign the OSU Libraries publicly facing web pages, including all libraries-controlled pages about locations, services, collections, events, and other information about what we have to offer our various user and partner communities. The goal is to restructure information about libraries and access to library resources in a way that is easy for users to navigate and is conducive to quickly finding what is needed for research, teaching, and learning.
Project Milestones
- Start content analysis of current website (winter 2017)
- Start OSUL functionality discussions (winter 2017, iterative)
- Start user needs surveys (winter 2017, iterative)
- Form user-centered design cohort; start user testing (winter-spring 2017, iterative)
- Share initial draft of information architecture, rework based on testing
- Begin Drupal training and content migration (late-spring, ongoing)
- Release early preview site for feedback (mid-summer)
- Replace old site with new site (as soon as January 1, 2018, depending on content readiness and user testing results)
