IIIF Manifest

Digital Collections (DC), built on the Samvera Hyrax platform, uses the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF, https://iiif.io/) for providing display and playback of image, audio, and video files.

To find the IIIF manifest for a particular DC record, add the string “/manifest.json” to the DC record’s internal URL. That’s the link at the top of the DC record that uses the generic work ID.

Universal Viewer

For images, DC utilizes IIIF’s Universal Viewer (https://universalviewer.io/) which has a number of features.

More information
